Bio: Entering her 7th season with the New England Diamond Gems, Coach Kelsey has worked with the 10u, 14u, 16u, and 18u groups over the years. Kelsey began her coaching career in high school, coaching 8u for Dover New Hampshire’s recreational league. Kelsey graduated from Cocheco Academy of the Arts in Dover, NH in 2017.
Kelsey started with 14U Gems in the '17-'18 season, alongside coach Greg Herbert. The next season, coach David Guay moved up with his daughter to join the coaching staff, and the Tricycle (as they often refer to themselves) was created. The trio are entering their 6th season working together.
Kelsey was recruited to play for Southern Vermont College in 2017 as a LHP, and played until the school shut down in 2019. Graduating from Rivier University in 2021 with a B.A in Psychology, minor in Sociology, Kelsey moved to the North Shore area of Massachusetts. In January 2023, Kelsey was named Head Coach of Ipswich High School Varsity Softball program.

Bio: Coach Rines, in his 30 years of coaching, is the founder of the New England Diamond Gems (1994). He is the current head coach of NEDG 16U Gold team, as well as the former coach for the NEDG National 18U Gold Team (2010-2018).
Coach Rines prior experience and awards speak for itself. He was the Souhegan High School Head Softball Coach 1994-2007, collecting one Division 2 State Championship in 2003. He coached six Division 2 State Runner-Up teams. Coach Rines is a three time Division 2 Coach of the year in 2001, 2003, & 2005. He has received two Time Sportsmanship awards, in 2001 & 2003.
He went on to coach with Plymouth State University, serving as Assistant Coach from 2008-2014.
Following this, he was the Milford High School Head Softball Coach from 2015-2019, earning two back to back Division 2 State Championships in 2016 & 2017. He earned Divison 2 Coach of the Year in 2015-2016, and Sportsmanship Award Winner 2016-2017. Coach Rines was awarded the Umpire "Glenn Colburn" Award 2016-2017.
His total High School Career record is 327 wins and 107 losses. He is proud to have helped produce 41 Division 2 All State Players, 4 Pitchers of the year, and 4 Players of the year.
In all of his free time, he is the current Franklin Pierce University Pitching Coach (2020-Present).

Bio: Chad has been coaching travel ball teams for the last 9 years. He has coached with the Black Widows, Keene Extreme and the NE Diamond Gems at the 12U, 14U, 16U and 18U levels. He is also the head coach for the Monadnock Regional High School Varsity team.
Chad started his softball coaching career by chance nine years ago while at one of his daughter’s games.
The coaching staff was in need of an assistant coach and the rest is history.
Chad takes great pride in seeing his players evolve and looks forward to helping his players reach the next level in their softball careers.
